The Role
Reporting to our Learning Area Lead for German & French at our Wheelers Campus, this teaching position will be teaching German to our secondary students. As a valued member of our team, you will be part of making a real difference by positively impacting our student experience and contributing to our School community.
This is a part-time (0.7 FTE) 12 month fixed term opportunity, based at our Wheelers Hill Campus. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong passion for the German Language and commitment to professional development and will also be comfortable utilising learning technologies.
Key Duties
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn, including integrating formative practice and providing continuous feedback
- Prepare instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for all
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Contribute to our visible wellbeing program to enable students to thrive and belong
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills And Experience / Qualifications
- Hold a current VIT Registration
- Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge in German
- Experience teaching at MYP and VCE levels would be advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to career development
- Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
