Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Project Delivery division. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working closely with our delivery team to ensure successful project outcomes. You will collaborate with a Project Manager, Solutions Architect, and development team to translate complex business needs into detailed technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead requirements gathering workshops with clients across various industries, facilitating effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Transform business requirements and user stories into detailed technical tasks for the development team, ensuring clarity and completeness
* Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to validate technical approaches and ensure alignment with business objectives
* Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including solution design documents and specifications
* Assist in testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring deliverables meet both technical requirements and business expectations
* Participate in change and release management processes, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment of solutions
* Contribute to project planning and estimation activities, providing insights into requirement complexity and implementation considerations
Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects
* Strong technical background with understanding of software development principles and practices
* Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
* Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa
* Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
* Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
* Experience in testing methodologies and quality assurance practices
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills
* Experience in highly regulated industries (government, healthcare, etc.)
* Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in software development
* Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure
* Experience with change management and release processes
* Background in software development or testing
* Industry certifications (CBAP, IIBA, etc.)
