The role: We're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to step into a key BAU role within a high-performing team of four. You'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring compliance in a complex, high-volume environment. This is a temporary contract to start, with strong potential for extension or permanency. The role offers a hybrid working model, with a balanced mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. Key Responsibilities: Support the Payroll Manager with the day-to-day running of payroll operations Process end-to-end payroll for a multi-site workforce Act as the escalation point for payroll queries and provide mentorship to junior team members Ensure payroll compliance, reporting, and auditing requirements are met Collaborate with HR, Finance, and internal teams to ensure accurate data flow and reporting About You: 5 years of payroll experience, ideally within large or complex organisations Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and legislation Confident using major payroll systems (Dayforce experience a bonus, but not essential) Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment A proactive team player who can step up and lead when needed This is a hybrid position.
