SUMMARY: Responsible for general oversight of Parking Attendants and Shuttle Operators in the absence of the Transportation Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
* Ensures Parking Attendants are effectively controlling motor and foot traffic in the Casino parking areas for Guests and Team Members.
* Schedules and maintains adequate staffing levels.
* Trains new Parking Attendants on Guest services, safety and duties, and provides ongoing training as required.
* Completes Team Member performance Conversations, rewards/recognition, and coaching.
* Addresses complaints and resolves problems for both Parking Attendant Team Members and Guests.
* Evaluates and disciplines Transportation Team Members, either verbally or written, in a professional and fair manner in the absence of the Supervisor.
* Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential safety hazards in parking areas, and reports them to the appropriate individual.
* Operates company vehicles when directed to do so.
* Must provide written statements to Public Safety Supervisor of any incidents in parking areas when Transportation Supervisor is unavailable.
* Maintains a working knowledge of Casino facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise
* Guests and Team Members whenever necessary.
* Operates a two-way portable radio; coordinates and dispatches information to all other radio users.
* Facilitates the flow of information by attending scheduled departmental meetings.
* Assists during evacuations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements
* Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
* Must know Public Safety Transportation Policies, and the Emergency Action Plan.
* Must possess excellent Guest and Team Member relations.
* Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Must possess working knowledge of computer programs and applications, including MS Office, and be able to learn new programs.
* Must possess organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations and carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form in a professional manner.
* Must be able to keep up with fast-paced atmosphere and work under pressure.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license and a Black Oak Casino drivers permit.
* Must be able to communicate using a portable 2-way radio and/or cell phone.
* Must be able to read electronic display panels on devices such as radios, cellular telephones, etc.
* Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
* Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
* Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
* Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
* Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Physical Demands
* Must be able to lift up to 50Ibs and occasionally more with assistance.
* Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
* Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, steam or chemicals.
* Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, weather gear, etc.
Work Environment
* Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
* Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
