We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Business Manager to provide leadership and oversight of finance, human resources, and facilities management at Bundaberg State High School.

Starting in 2026, you will work closely with the Business Manager (Strategy & Operations) and the Principal to deliver expert advice, drive process improvements, and ensure the school's operations are efficient, compliant, and strategically aligned.

This role is ideal for an experienced Business Manager with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced school environment and can effectively manage competing priorities with confidence.

About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Manager to join our team, with the role commencing in 2026. The Business Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative and corporate services that support the school's operations. Working closely with the Business Manager (Strategy & Operations) and the Principal, this position provides expert advice and practical solutions across finance, human resources, and facilities management. The role also involves identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of school operations, ensuring the school is well-managed, compliant, and strategically supported.

Key Responsibilities Include

* Leading diverse teams to achieve business service outcomes and modelling best practices in a dynamic school environment.
* Providing executive administrative support, overseeing recruitment, workforce planning, and professional development for school support staff.
* Managing financial operations, including budgeting, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
* Overseeing facilities management and project planning, including evaluating new projects, collaborating with contractors, and managing budgets for maintenance and improvements.
* Building and maintaining relationships with staff, community representatives, and other Business Managers to ensure best practice in corporate service delivery.

This role would suit a proactive and experienced Business Manager with a passion for leadership, strategic thinking, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing school environment.
