Cloud Access Finance Lead page is loaded## Cloud Access Finance Leadlocations: Melbourne, VICtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR1463*If you have led finance operations in complex, fast-growing environments and enjoy designing robust processes that enable growth, we would like to hear from you.* Versent is expanding its cloud resell business and we are looking for an experienced **Cloud Finance Operations Lead** to build and run best-practice financial and commercial operations across AWS and Microsoft.This role is central to supporting the migration of customers from Telstra to Versent and to establishing scalable, audit-ready finance operations that set the business up for long-term growth.You will own end-to-end finance operations for cloud resell and related services, including:* Month-end close and reporting cadence* Revenue, margin, and profitability management (including P&L performance)* Cashflow oversight and working capital focus* Building and maintaining commercial governance that stands up to audit and scaleThis is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity. You will ask the right questions, follow the work where it leads, identify risks early, and create practical improvements that stick.You will be a people-focused leader who values collaboration and professional development. Success in this role will come from building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of stakeholder needs, so expectations are clear and consistently met.You will also be responsible for maintaining risk management and governance frameworks across:* Accounts receivable and debtor collections* Accounts payable* Key metrics and controls for effective vendor and supplier management**What You'll Bring*** 6+ years' experience in finance, commercial finance, or revenue operations* Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft cloud resell models (CSP, EA, consumption‐based)* Deep understanding of cloud revenue recognition and margin mechanics* Proven ownership of month‐end close, P&L reporting, and margin analysis* Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; Workday experience advantageous* Experience supporting customer migrations, carve‐outs, or complex transitions* Background in consulting, systems integration, or managed services highly regardedThis hybrid role is a 12 month fixed term contract located in Melbourne.**Life at Versent**We're a diverse team of motivated humans who think outside the box and strive to deliver what others might consider impossible.
