About the role
Peninsula Directional Drilling is seeking HDD Directional Drillers and Excavator Operators to join our team on a full-time basis in Tyabb, Victoria. As a critical member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for operating specialised equipment to execute complex directional drilling and excavation projects, contributing to the successful delivery of our infrastructure initiatives.
What you'll be doing
* Operating HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) rigs and related equipment to drill and install underground utilities .
* Operating excavators and other heavy machinery to carry out site preparation, trenching and backfilling work
* Interpreting job specifications, plans and drawings to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks
* Conducting regular equipment inspections and maintenance to optimise performance and safety
* Collaborating with your team to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
* Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to protect yourself, your colleagues and the local community
What we're looking for
* Proficiency in operating a range of specialised construction equipment including HDD rigs, excavators, Trucks and other heavy machinery
* Strong understanding of construction project specifications, plans and drawings
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address equipment and operational challenges
* Commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards and environmental best practices
* Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
