The day to day
Based in Mulgrave - Vic, The role will focus primarily on commissioning of Transmission equipment and at times may require routine, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on Data, Switching, Transmission, Satellite, HFC Systems and Facility systems within Optus technical facilities, 3rd party and Customer premises. The role encompasses all the Transmission elements for Mobile, Local, Long distance, BNS, IP, Enhanced services platforms and any associated transmission systems related to the cartage of Data.
About you
* A technical qualification in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent working experience.
* Experience in fixed transmission networks with an excellent knowledge of network design and technologies.
* Broad knowledge of critical infrastructure such as DC systems, rectifiers, batteries, PDUs, UPS systems, fire alarms and fire panels, HVAC, air handlers, chillers, grounding, DC cabling, etc.
* Good understanding of Facility/Environment systems.
