Title: SAP Payroll Specialist | Government | Hybrid | 12-Month Contract

Rate: Competitive Daily Rate + Super | 12-Month Contract

We’re hiring 2 experienced SAP Payroll Specialists to join a large-scale and highly customised SAP environment for a 12-month engagement. This opportunity is with a major NSW Government agency offering hybrid work arrangements and exposure to some of the most complex SAP Payroll processes in the country.
About the Role:
You'll be stepping into a business-critical SAP Payroll function, backfilling internal staff who are moving onto the agency's S/4HANA upgrade program. This is a hands-on BAU-focused role, supporting high-volume payroll operations (150,000+ employees) across a heavily customised landscape.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Configure and support SAP Australian Payroll across BAU and enhancement projects
* Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate into SAP solutions
* Manage issues, conduct testing, and provide support through payroll cycles
* Implement legislative changes (e.g. awards, pay updates) into SAP Payroll
* Work closely with SAP functional teams, BAs, and Shared Services
What We’re Looking For:
* 7+ years’ experience in SAP Payroll configuration (not just as a BA)
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and public sector pay structures
* Experience with Concurrent Employment and Multiple Position Single Assignment (MPSA) is highly regarded
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and heavily customised SAP environment
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in the public sector highly desirable
