Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a leading private rehabilitation facility located in North Turramurra, Sydney. The hospital features 115 inpatient beds and a busy day patient program. Both inpatient and day patient services are based on an interdisciplinary team approach, where all team members play an integral role. The major casemix groups include orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, reconditioning, palliative care, and general medical services.
Role overview
Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) are essential members of the Allied Health team, providing clinical and administrative support to ensure the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services. AHAs work under the supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other Allied Health professionals to assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Capability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and complete activities efficiently.
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email applications.
Current NSW driver's license and willingness to drive for work purposes.
Occupational therapy or physiotherapy qualification without APHRA registration, or
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles.
Experience working with or providing care to individuals in a healthcare setting.
Basic understanding of exercise classes.
