Work conditions
* Store operates 7 days per week – availability to work a rotating roster with day and evening shifts between 8 am and 10 pm
* Available to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday)
* Pre‐employment check required – National Police Check
* Successful candidate must obtain a security licence

Responsibility
* Protect IKEA co‐workers, customers and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness to support IKEA objectives
* Respond responsibly during emergencies and critical situations and take decisive action to ensure safety of all co‐workers, customers, and visitors
* Act as a valued business partner driving sustainable solutions and improving profit without compromising safety and security standards
* Conduct safety training for internal and external co‐workers and contractors
* Proactively assess and manage risks; influence management and co‐workers to adopt a risk‐aware culture through a risk‐based approach
* Ensure compliance with IKEA Group Risk Manual, IKEA rules and guidelines, and local legal requirements
Requirements and qualifications
* Ability to respond to post‐hours emergency calls
* Passionate about IKEA culture & values and promoting a safety‐first culture
* Strong interest in safety & security, promoting these principles throughout the store
* Experience advising and influencing key stakeholders
* Exceptional verbal communication skills – calm and explicit even during emergencies and stressful situations
* Motivated to thrive in a fast‐paced, multi‐faceted environment and deliver the best outcomes for co‐workers, customers and business
* Current valid security licence and first aid certificate, or willingness and ability to obtain them
