About the Role – South East Regional Hospital (Bega, Southern NSW LHD) Position Available: RN – Mental Health (Inpatient and/or Community)Make a real impact in a modern regional hospital located in one of Australia's most stunning coastal towns. Join a supportive Mental Health team with rotation options, education support, and a lifestyle that blends professional growth with coastal living.
Service Context: South East Regional Hospital is a key regional facility offering comprehensive services. The Mental Health team provides recovery-oriented care across acute inpatient and community settings.
Location: Bega, NSW South Coast — minutes from pristine beaches, surrounded by national parks, and approx. 2.5 hours to Canberra.
Key Duties
* Comprehensive mental health assessment, risk formulation, care planning, and therapeutic engagement.
* Safe medication administration (including depots) and physical health monitoring.
* De‐escalation and behavioural support using least‐restrictive practice.
* Discharge planning and community follow‐up within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Requirements
* AHPRA registration essential.
* For PR sponsorship: ANMAC completed with correct ANZSCO code.Required Code: ANZSCO 254422 Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
* SID 482 or WHV pathways: ANMAC not required (AHPRA and Mental Health experience essential).
