We are looking for a Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor to join our Lifestyle Community team at Chambers Pines. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents through quality gardening, landscaping, and general maintenance work.
What You’ll Do
* Maintain all outdoor areas to a high standard — including lawns, hedging, pruning, mulching, and weeding.
* Ensure pathways, roads, and recreational areas are safe, clean, and free from plant overgrowth or trip hazards.
* Undertake minor landscaping and garden refurbishment works as required.
* Perform pest and disease control, tree trimming, and replacement of unsightly or dying plants.
* Remove garden waste and monitor condition of infrastructure, reporting any damage.
* Assist with pool testing and maintenance.
* Maintain and perform basic repairs on irrigation systems and gardening equipment.
* Carry out general light maintenance duties across the community.
* Uphold a professional, organised, and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or horticulture roles.
* Sound knowledge of plant species, fertilisers, pest control, and irrigation.
* Ability to carry out basic machinery and equipment maintenance.
* Strong attention to detail, with pride in presentation and quality work.
* Empathy and professionalism in all resident interactions.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Flexible, proactive attitude and commitment to WH&S practices.
Requirements
* General gardening and maintenance skills.
* Current driver’s licence.
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Previous experience in a lifestyle, retirement, or aged care community highly regarded.
