As the **Technical Manager,** you will make an impact on the business and be a champion delivering exceptional services, support and growth with key clients and oversee projects in the construction industry.
By taking on this unique and exciting role, you'll shape and influence the NSW business. Leading from the front and supporting a global company and local small high preforming team, as well as the critical infrastructure of the business. You will be responsible for managing the Sydney business and their overall capability. This role will support the growth of the business and managing stakeholders and the internal engineering, design and sales. You will be dynamic culturally inclusive leader who is experienced in construction, temporary works, steel frames & structures, formworks and or complex lifting arrangements.
**Your Responsibilities Will Include**:
- Provide the vision and business leadership and be responsible for the technical department in NSW
- Develop and manage industry standard operating procedures for design, operations and logistics end-to-end.
- Oversee and manage the business NSW performance, including the promotion of an efficient and cost-conscious culture across Project Delivery.
- Deliver on a project delivery framework to assure appropriate standards, capabilities and methodologies are applied.
- Define and evolve a minimum performance standard for a Construction team and manage performance against this standard.
- Support of governance and policies, including safety, environmental, WHS, risk and compliance.
- Support the roadmap and design techniques that will be required for the oversight of construction performance for Sydney
**Skills and Experienced Required**:
- A working history in construction with supporting qualifications in **Civil or Structural Engineering**.
- A background in construction, temporary works, steel frames & structures, formworks and or complex lifting arrangements.
- Experience of all aspects of people management including capability development and performance management and support.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently at all levels, presenting the company in national standardisation, approval committees and industry associations externally.
- Demonstrated ability to drive, deliver and sustain growth to achieve objectives for the organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, shape conversations, and change behaviours through effective relationship.
