If you are, then Yarrabing Secondary College is looking for Education Support Staff to join the school.
Yarrabing Secondary College opened in Term 1 2024 and provides the growing local population with great educational opportunities close to home.
It is able to enrol up to 550 students with the stage one facilities.
In 2024 Yarrabing Secondary College opened to approximately 150 Year 7 students and will progressively grow by one year level thereafter.
In 2025, we have Year 7 and Year 8 students only.
Our school grounds are close to planned parklands, sporting facilities, and we are surrounded by a supportive community.
Most students that will attend our school live locally and would tend to walk or ride their bike to school.
Our school will be culturally diverse with 60% of students having a language background other than English (LOTE) spoken in the family home, with the largest LOTE languages being Hindi and Punjabi.

As an Education Support Staff member you will contribute to the collaborative planning, implementation and evaluation of school processes and contribute to the school culture as a results-oriented collaborative professional learning community.
Foundation Education Support Staff will work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to improve students educational outcomes and to ensure that the school remains on a path of continuous improvement through the application of evidenced-based research.
Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated high-level knowledge and application of organisational and logistical skills including a capacity to manage the daily staffing requirements of a large, complex and fast paced environment.
Demonstrated experience and skills in office administration, management, problem solving and the ability to prioritise.
SC2 Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems, computer software or technical equipment as relevant to the position i.e. Compass, Timetabler, CASES21, Google Suite
SC3 Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, positively and diplomatically with a range of people including school staff, students, parents and the wider community while working independently and without constant supervision.
SC4 Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to lead the work of staff and actively contribute to a team to develop, implement and assess the effectiveness of School Operations.

Role About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the initial development of school processes for a foundation secondary school, growing one year level each year from Year 7 in 2024 to Year 12 in 2029.
Given the school is in the second year of establishment, the teaching, learning and student support practices are based on the latest evidence-based research.

Education Support Staff will be responsible for delivering support for the school staff and student learning environment.
Role
The School Operations Managers fulfils an important organisational role to assist with the efficient and effective daily operations of the College through the deployment of personnel and resources which maximise learning.
It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service to the student body, staff and visitors to the College and be competent in the provision of up to date and relevant information.
This position is also responsible for maintaining and inputting accurate data for reporting to staff, School Council and Leadership teams.
Accurate data recording is important as it reflects in the provision of information and reports to Families, Staff, School Council and the Community.

Adhering to the College's dress code policy will be required.
The College will follow a strict style guide for the development and publication of correspondence, to ensure a consistent presentation of all school documents.
The School Operations Manager is part of the Administration Team, whose responsibility is to work co-operatively as part of the team, ensuring a productive, efficient workplace.
Responsibilities Daily Organiser
- Oversee the Daily Operations of the College, ensuring all classes and programs are appropriately staffed, and that CRT costs and HR records are effectively and efficiently managed.
Ensure the smooth daily running of the college through management of the replacement process for teachers who are absent
- Maintain accurate records of staff absences, providing daily staff absence reports to relevant staff overseeing HR
- Monitor the College's Daily Organiser mobile phone and email for notifications of staff absences or changes to work schedule
- Notify College Executive promptly for staff absences that require possible additional support
- Covering yard duties and other responsibilities for teachers and staff who are absent.
- Ensure that teaching coverage is provided by way of teacher extras or in lieus, or where necessary by employing Casual Relief Teachers through approved agencies and School Local Payroll.
- Equitably allocate and distribute 'in lieus', extras, or under allotted according to the School guidelines and accurate records are kept
- Ensure all staff on extended leave have an appropriate replacement, bringing areas for the need to advertise a position to the attention of the College Executive
- Update and publish the Daily Staff Bulletin
- Oversee the management of the CRT budget, extras, and under/allotted time, ensuring effective use of human resources.
- Manage the booking, induction and daily work of CRTs, ensuring that work is set for classes by absent teachers
- Ensure that CRT timesheets or invoices are correct for processing, liaising with the HR Manager to ensure CRT records are maintained and payments arranged.
- Maintain CRT induction folders and resources
- Maintain an up to date data base for CRT staff information including availability, resumes and VIT registration details
- Liaise with employment agencies for CRTs.
