Commercialisation Director
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the full commercialisation lifecycle from assessing inventions and identifying market potential to negotiating deals and supporting post-commercialisation outcomes.
* Lead the entire commercialisation process, providing strategic guidance to researchers on intellectual property spin-out formation and market readiness.
* Build and manage relationships with industry investors and internal stakeholders to support commercial pathways.
* Develop business cases and pitch strategies to secure investment and drive research translation.
This role is pivotal in shaping the future of research translation, guiding academics through the journey from invention to impact and building strong partnerships with industry and investors to bring breakthrough technologies to market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proven experience in commercialising deep-tech innovations within a university environment with a strong understanding of IP governance and regulatory pathways.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to guide and coach researchers through complex commercial processes.
* A strategic mindset and deep industry networks particularly in sectors such as medtech and climate technologies with a track record of securing investment and building successful ventures.
