Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Associate Package Specialist at IBM, you'll help clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions.
Responsibilities
* Perform full life cycle of application implementation, including requirement definition, design, development, testing and data migration.
* Migrate between products or integrate with other products, configure packages, and handle recovery and backup.
* Use your consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the client's business environment.
* Assist in the selection, implementation, and support of application.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
* Demonstrated programming proficiency and experience with one of the following: Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, ReactJS; as well as systems design/development and information technology coursework.
* Exposure to web services, APIs, and Java application frameworks such as Springboot.
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Familiarity with generative AI modeling, ethics, and methodologies.
* Familiarity with microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts, and cloud platforms AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
* Flexibility to work across architecture—building both front‐end and back‐end components.
* Help maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation.
* Communicate with stakeholders on technical issues; design and code servers, services, applications, and databases on platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle that are reusable, scalable, and meet critical architecture goals.
* Proficiency in working with Git repositories for version control and collaborative development.
