Description and Requirements
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the school
Your new home is at Helping Hands Buddina on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. You will be taking ownership of this established service and have the support of a strong and supportive team of regular educators.
The Helping Hands service at Buddina has average attendances of 30's in the mornings and 75 children in the afternoons. The service utilizes a dedicated OSHC room, the school hall and the school library as well as the oval and undercover areas.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids
- Strong and clear communication
- Team player with a desire to become a service leader
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
- Australian work rights
- Diploma or higher (Or working towards) in: Teaching, Education, Music, Behavioral Science, Community Services, Youth, Creative or Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, Nursing or Allied Health, Sport and Recreation or Human Welfare.
