We are seeking individuals with strong leadership and governance experience to contribute to the stewardship of the nation's capital. As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in shaping the planning and development of Canberra, ensuring it continues to reflect Australia's national significance.
The National Capital Authority (NCA) is responsible for overseeing the planning and development of Canberra. The NCA plays a crucial role in ensuring that the nation's capital is developed and managed in a way that reflects Australia's values and history. As a Board Member, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight and direction in fulfilling the NCA's statutory functions under the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Act and the Authority Charter.
You will ensure that the National Capital Plan and related policies are administered effectively and reviewed regularly. You will also monitor performance and compliance across the organisation, ensuring continuity, proficiency and depth of experience on one of the Government's most important boards.
