TKO FARMING is a mixed farming business located 135km from Esperance in the Cascade & Munglinup region.
We are seeking a Full Time Permanent Experienced Farm Hand to join our team. This role will see you working across a diverse enterprise of 6,000ha cropping and ~5,000 sheep, with responsibilities spanning cropping operations, livestock, and managing casual staff.
You'll be joining a supportive team with a mix of experienced long-term employees and 2nd year trainee. Machinery is modern CASE with up-to-date technology.
· About you:
o Candidates must have a minimum of 3-4 years of farm hand experience.
o Experience with both cropping and livestock operations is essential for this role.
o Team leader experience in managing casual staff is required.
o Full Australian working rights are required
o Non-smoker (required for accommodation and workplace);
o Willing to assist with training and support of less experienced staff.
· Responsibilities
o Assisting with pre-season maintenance of farm machinery and ensuring all machinery and equipment required for cropping is ready for operations prior to each season.
o Operation of farm machinery including, but not limited to, tractors, paddock preparation attachments, grain handling equipment, telehandlers, headers, airseeders, and sprayers
o Fine-tuning and overseeing plant performance by adjusting implement speed, height, and depth, as well as regulating distribution or collection rates as necessary.
o Livestock Husbandry, preparation of Shearing, feedlot operations, Fencing
o General Farm Duties
o Ensuring the farm is fully compliant with all policies and procedures and providing a safe and healthy working environment for all staff, contractors and visitors.
· Requirements
o AQF Certificate II or III, and at least one year of relevant experience operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant equipment
o Current driver's licence
o Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting
o Knowledge of modern farming practices and crop management techniques
o Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
o Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency
o Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions
