Love leading with heart? We're on the lookout for an experienced Facility Manager to head up the amazing team at mecwacare Wahroonga, our 90-bed home in Canadian, Ballarat 3350 .
As Facility Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of our home, ensuring exceptional care, comfort, and lifestyle for our residents. Reporting to the General Manager of Residential Services, you'll guide a passionate multidisciplinary team supported by experts in Quality, Learning and Development and P&C. Operate under AN-ACC funding guidelines to drive continuous improvement and make the best use of resources. Together, we create a vibrant, inclusive community where residents feel valued, engaged, and truly at home.
What you bring:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Minimum 5 years' postgraduate clinical experience in residential aged care, including a clinical management role
* Advanced clinical expertise with proven experience as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead
* Previous experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar senior leadership role within aged care
* Qualification in management, aged care, or a related field
* Competency to meet the requirements of 'Key Personnel' as outlined in the Aged Care Act
* Comprehensive knowledge of Accreditation Standards, AN-ACC documentation, and the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Strong financial management skills with experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of teamwork and person-centred care
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement practices and resident lifestyle requirements
* Strong decision-making ability under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills
* Confident building relationships with residents, families, GPs, and external stakeholders
* Excellent customer service focus with the ability to operate autonomously and respond to needs systematically
* Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office suite and iCare
* Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check (WWCC) certifications
* Experience with Aged Care Quality Review and regulatory audits
* Knowledge of dementia and palliative care
