The Engineering and Design team specialises in civil, infrastructure, water engineering, town planning and urban design.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer for a full-time role.
You will be responsible for design and documentation from the schematic stage through to detailed documentation of a wide range of Civil projects with a large focus on Land Development.
The Role
In this role you can expect to be working largely on Land Development projects and associated infrastructure including feasibility studies or optioneering, to planning and into detailed design, delivery and construction of 1000+ lot greenfield site, heavily constrained urban infill and brownfield sites and strata subdivision developments.
Key responsibilities include developing and delivering detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD and either 12D or Civil 3D software, coordinating with clients and external consultants, planning and completion of design projects within agreed deadlines, leadership and mentoring of younger staff, motivation and desire to grow into a Design Lead role.

A key focus on design elements includes earthworks and retaining wall design, sewer & water reticulation and stormwater drainage as well as road design.
Key skills and experience we are looking for include relevant industry experience, proficiency in using AutoCAD, 12D software, and or Civil 3D, sound knowledge of construction methods and health and safety regulations, preferred previous experience working with local councils and authorities to deliver projects, strong design capabilities and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes and local government authorities, autonomous design skills and decision making processes to move projects forward.
Experience within a consultancy environment will be highly regarded. Ability to work within a fast-paced dynamic team environment.
TAFE qualification - Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree or similar equivalent industry experience.
