Join Our Team
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Structural Draftsperson to contribute to our ambitious projects based in the industrial hub of Wollongong.
* Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
* Coordinate with and consult other consultants to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
* Review and analyse specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.
* Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
* Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
* Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
Qualifications:
* Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in CAD software.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
* Experience in heavy industry or related fields is preferred.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
