Classification: Academic Level C
Salary package: $146,007 - $162,281 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Part-time (21 hours per week), Continuing
Position
This position provides strategic leadership for the engagement and development of honorary clinical staff and associated clinicians who contribute to the medical program. The role works closely with Heads of Clinical Schools, curriculum leads, and health service partners to strengthen clinician participation in teaching, enhance faculty development, and improve the student clinical placement experience.
The Person
The Lead Faculty Development and Engagement will utilise their medical education and leadership experience to strengthen the engagement and capacity of honorary clinical staff within the medical program. Drawing on expertise in teaching, program development, and research, they will enhance faculty development and the quality of the student learning experience.
School / Department
The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in 2023 to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research environment. The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers, and medical graduates who practise compassion, conscience and professional excellence, and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture. The school partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT and South‐Eastern NSW.
College / Division
The ANU College of Science and Medicine encompasses the following disciplines: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Medicine and Psychology, and Medical Research, and is home to various cross‐disciplinary and specialist institutes and centres.
