We have built a reputation for precision machining, and as a quality manufacturer of hydraulic components to meet the demands of Australian industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st year Fitter Machinist Apprentice to work with us. Based in Taree, NSW, we are looking for a motivated, committed and reliable person who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training and a Certificate III Engineering in Mechanical Trade.
What will you be doing?
The successful applicant will learn and gain practical experience from the ground up in Manual & CNC Turning/Milling of metal components using technologically advanced machinery.
You will learn how to read workshop drawings, program, set-up machines and check completed parts against quality and technical standards.
What do you need for this role?
* Minimum Year 10 or equivalent
* A mechanical aptitude/interest would be an advantage
* An ability to undertake manual/physical work
* Punctuality, reliability and motivation
* Strong work ethic
* Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
* Demonstrate a "Safety First" attitude
* Reliable transport to and from work
