Mathematics Academic Position
We are seeking an experienced Mathematics academic to join our team in the College of Science and Engineering.
About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to curriculum development, and providing administrative support for the Physical Sciences academic group.
They will also be expected to demonstrate a strong research track record in mathematics, with expertise in areas that complement the College's strategic commitment to research and teaching.
* PhD qualification or equivalent in Mathematics, or a closely related field.
* Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in mathematics.
* Evidence of an established research track-record, including interdisciplinary collaboration and effective supervision of HDR students.
* Demonstrated success or capacity to attract competitive research funding.
* Capacity to establish an independent research program which involves collaborating across disciplinary boundaries.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated capacity to communicate technical concepts in mathematics.
