Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals, adhering to high standards of food safety and hygiene.
* Evaluate the quality and presentation of prepared meals and inspect supplies to ensure freshness and suitability.
* Supervise kitchen personnel and monitor their adherence to food safety protocols and hygiene guidelines.
* Implement food safety rules, adhere to hygiene regulations, and other requirements for serving food in Aged Care Facilities and hospitality venues.
Requirements
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an analogous role.
* Minimum of a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery/Diploma in Hospitality).
* A Food Safety and Handling Certificate.
* A valid National Police Check.
* Current Flu and Covid vaccinations as required by state government regulations (if working in an Aged Care Facility).
* A driver's license and reliable vehicle are advantageous.
