About the role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to play a critical role in supporting the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of the Mount Carlton processing plant.
Working closely with Maintenance Superintendent, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining effective maintenance plans, schedules and work packs that support plant availability, statutory compliance and long-term asset integrity.
This is a hands-on planning role, ideal for someone who enjoys working at the interface of systems, people and plant.
This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 5/2 Roster. This role will be DIDO/BIBO from the Townsville Region. Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site.
Duties will include but not be limited to:-
* Develop, maintain and optimise short, medium and long-term maintenance plans for fixed plant and associated infrastructure.
* Create detailed job plans and work packs, including labour, materials, tooling, permits and isolation requirements.
* Coordinate weekly and shutdown maintenance schedules in collaboration with Maintenance and Operations teams.
* Ensure maintenance activities align with statutory requirements, OEM recommendations and site standards.
* Maintain accurate maintenance data within the CMMS, including work orders, task lists, asset hierarchies and history.
* Identify and manage material and spare parts requirements in conjunction with stores and supply chain.
* Support maintenance execution by addressing schedule clashes, work scope changes and emergent work.
* Monitor maintenance KPIs such as schedule compliance, backlog, equipment availability and downtime.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance planning, scheduling and execution.
* Assist with shutdown planning, execution readiness and post-shutdown reviews.
To be successful in this role, you will have:-
* Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* S1, S2, S3 / G2 – Supervisor Certification
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate information across all levels.
* High attention to detail in documentation, compliance and reporting
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner in a processing plant, mining or heavy industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of fixed plant maintenance practices and asset lifecycle management.
* Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
* Right to Work in Australia – Essential
* Demonstrated safety focus with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team
