About the role
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to play a critical role in shaping and delivering high quality software across our technology landscape. This is a senior, hands‐on role that blends strong quality engineering expertise with deep automation capability, modern tooling, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Working closely with engineering, architecture, infrastructure and operations teams, you will define test strategies, build and maintain automation frameworks, and embed quality best practice into our delivery lifecycle. You will act as a quality advocate, helping uplift standards, reduce risk, and ensure our systems are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing ways of working, and building scalable, future focused QA solutions.
What you'll do
* Define and lead test strategies across multiple platforms and delivery streams
* Design, build and maintain robust automation frameworks from the ground up
* Develop and execute automated and manual test suites across functional and non‐functional testing
* Integrate test automation into CI and CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases
* Work closely with developers and technical leads to identify, triage and resolve defects
* Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tooling and standards
* Manage test data, environments, documentation and knowledge sharing
What will you bring?
You will bring strong experience in software quality engineering, including hands‐on automation, framework design and test strategy development, along with a deep understanding of functional and non‐functional testing principles. You will have proven experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts, working with modern automation tools such as Playwright or similar, and integrating automation into CI and CD pipelines. You will be comfortable working in agile delivery environments, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and influencing technical and non‐technical stakeholders. Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‐paced environment will be essential. Experience with API testing, cloud‐based testing platforms, DevSecOps practices, and modern QA tooling will be highly valued, along with relevant QA or technology qualifications.
