The Role
As a senior role within Air Combat Systems Program Office (ACSPO), this position is responsible for providing strategic, operational and tactical security governance, management and advice.
The Security Manager will be accountable for monitoring and proactively managing the F-35A strategic security environment.
Additional responsibilities will also include developing, implementing and managing ACSPO Security Standing Orders, management of industry participants requiring Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership for F-35, and governing the security framework with a focus on achieving the required capability delivery outcomes.
This includes identifying and managing security risks from tactical through to strategic, and ensuring all security incidents are investigated and reported.
The position is also responsible for perform the Communication Intelligence Security Officer role for ACSPO and F-35 Defence Industry personnel.
This position has people management responsibility and, as such, you will be required to exercise your people management skills and knowledge to lead a high performing and cohesive team.
As the leader of the ACSPO Security Team, you will be responsible for your team outcomes for following functions: Security Officer and Government SAP Security Officer.
The Security Manager will work collaboratively with all security stakeholders to maintain the F-35A security framework that meets Australian and global F-35 Program requirements.

This person will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for efficient and effective security management practices and procedures.

About our Team
ACSPO organisationally sits in the Aerospace Combat Systems Branch in CASG, within the Department of Defence.
ACSPO is the aviation asset management in-service support agency for the Australian F-35A Lightning II Air System.
ACSPO engages with local, regional and international Enterprise partners and suppliers of the F-35 Global Program; consisting of both foreign governments and industry, to provide sustainment support for the Capability Manager, the Royal Australian Air Force.
ACSPO is based at RAAF Williamtown in NSW and supports the Australian F-35A Fleet.
The F-35A aircraft are based at RAAF Williamtown and RAAF Tindal in the Northern Territory.
The primary focus for ACSPO is governing across the Australian F-35A Air Combat Capability.
This includes the ongoing management, execution and continuous improvement of the various governance frameworks, processes and procedures in order to provide leading aviation asset management.
