Job Title: Coordinator Strategic Planning
About the Role
* Coordinate the delivery of policies, strategies and plans that deliver land use planning and economic outcomes.
* Lead individual strategic projects and planning scheme amendments.
* Monitor, review and implement the Northern Grampians Planning Scheme to achieve efficient and sustainable development for the municipality.
* Advocate and prepare submissions on proposed Victorian Government planning reform initiatives and policy changes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate economic initiatives and programs that increase jobs, investment, business growth and business sustainability.
* Prepare and present reports to Council and Briefing meetings, Planning Panels, and other public and community forums.
* Liaise with key stakeholders (internal and external) to identify and achieve the delivery of projects that provide a range of desired planning and economic outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or other relevant field, and substantial experience working in strategic planning.
* Sound knowledge of the Victorian Planning system and related legislation.
* Demonstrated success in project managing strategic projects including managing consultants in set timeframes and budgets.
