About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville are currently seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis, with opportunity for weekday or weekend shifts available.
Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocolsat Mater Townsville Physiotherapy Department
Mater Physiotherapy department service acute wards (intensive care, cardiac units, medical, surgical, orthopaedic, renal and mater mothers).
Rehabilitation services include day and overnight programs.
Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision
Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers
Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams
Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes
Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies
Opportunity to participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise
About you
You will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council.
You will also meet the below criteria:
Broad experience working in an acute hospital settingand across rehabilitation services- desired.

Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number
A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required
Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience
Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care
Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
