**The What**:
As a Supplier Relations Manager you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are some of the things you'll be getting involved with:
- Oversee TAG APAC's supplier programs and relationships - providing high levels of service, internally and externally, at all times
- Consult with divisional heads to develop and put in place preferred supplier programs and policies, meeting APAC business needs and delivering financial outcomes
- Develop or utilise a combination of global and local preferred supplier programs and implement quality control measures, as appropriate to local needs
- Manage the Request for Pricing (RFP) process, including the distribution of requests and loading of supplier rate updates to relevant systems
- Deal with queries relating to all aspects of vendors and RFPs, including problem solving and liaise with staff and suppliers, when required
- Assist with increasing value-added benefits for all TAG clients (i.e. upgrades, etc.)
- Collate hotel and airline statistics analyses while providing relevant and accurate reports to divisional managers
- Collect hotel information and store on relevant database systems - ensuring data is current, accurate and up-to-date; correctly load amendments in TAGdesktop and the hotel e-brochures files, as requested
- Continually develop and maintain excellent working relationships with hoteliers and other suppliers; attend as many industry events and invitations as possible to ensure TAG's profile within the hotel industry remains high
- Coordinate and organise complimentary hotel accommodation and meeting/function rooms for TAG staff, adhering to marketing funds/agreements and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records and favour logs are maintained
- Coordinate and actively encourage relevant staff attendance to all in-house supplier training sessions, presentations, FAM trips and supplier functions
- Attend site visits, when required; attend in-house supplier training sessions, presentations and meetings, when required; attend as many supplier functions outside of working hours as possible and if required
- Follow departmental procedures to ensure all company supplier related matters are addressed and actioned in a structured and timely manner, including sales queries and complaints
- Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure back office systems operate smoothly insofar as they relate to suppliers
- Act as a liaison while working in conjunction with other departments, ensuring all back office support functions operate smoothly and effectively - particularly IT and TAGdesktop, for productive use of the database system, and Global Services for maximizing hotel benefits for key and major clients
- Ensure global resources are utilised where necessary to effectively maximize and deliver supplier benefits for key and major clients
- Be aware of and operate in accordance with local bribery legislation and associated TAG policies
- Contribute to all other supplier relations activities, as required, and any other ad hoc tasks as requested from time to time
