The business is currently seeking a Motor Mechanic to join their team.
The successful candidate will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, diagnose mechanical issues, and ensure services are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
This role is essential to supporting the business's operational effectiveness, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding the reputation for professional and reliable automotive services.
The annual salary is $75,000 to $85,000.
Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using advanced diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Diagnose complex faults in engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering mechanisms, and other automotive components.
Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and general mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards.
Disassemble engines, transmissions, and key components for detailed inspection, cleaning, repair, or replacement of defective parts.
Reassemble and test mechanical and electrical systems after repair, ensuring proper operation, reliability, and compliance with performance standards.
Utilise modern diagnostic technology and software to efficiently detect, analyse, and resolve system errors and performance issues.
Conduct quality control checks and post-repair testing to verify that all vehicles meet operational, safety, and performance benchmarks.
Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and customer reports to ensure transparency and compliance with industry regulations.
Advise customers on identified issues, recommended repairs, maintenance needs, and associated costs professionally and transparently.
Ensure that all repair activities comply with workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations governing automotive servicing.
Support the team in managing workload efficiently, maintaining workshop tools and equipment in optimal condition, and upholding service standards.
Respond to mobile service requests or vehicle breakdowns, performing on-site diagnostics and minor repairs to restore vehicle functionality promptly.
Qualifications:
Should hold at least a Certificate IV in Automotive.
Must have at least one (1) year of experience.
