Overview
As a Senior School Psychologist at DECYP, you will lead a team of school psychologists providing clinical child and adolescent psychology services to support learning and positive student outcomes in Tasmania schools.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of school psychologists.
* Conduct educational and psychological assessment and diagnosis across all areas of child and adolescent development.
* Provide individual and group counselling, therapy, and programs addressing mental health, emotional, and family issues.
* Build capacity of school communities to improve student access, participation, and achievement.
* Supervise team, lead professional learning, clinical supervision, recruitment, and inter‐agency liaison.
* Maintain a small client load.
Qualifications
* Essential
o Qualifications recognised by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award.
o General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia in accordance with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Tasmania) Act 2010.
o Approval from the Psychology Board of Australia as a Board‐approved supervisor.
o Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with status Employment.
* Desirable
o Membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
o Eligibility for Teacher Registration in Tasmania.
o A current driver's licence.
