Overview
Bulk Sales Engineer role based in Rocklea (QLD), Australia. Critical B2B position driving recent business while maintaining the existing customer base.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt resolution of customer issues and prevent poor customer experience through adherence to the onboarding process for new customers, maintaining correct data on existing customers and contracts.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and manage issues to deliver the best customer experience.
- Account management is part of the role, including overall accountability, service, delivery, and financial performance for each contract in the nominated market sector.
- Build relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Generate varied solutions to problems, both internally and for the customer; manage, review and implement changes to accounts as required based on performance.
- Develop account plans for market sector customers, understand market dynamics, pricing and negotiations.
- Review customer strategies to determine current and future opportunities for BOC and inform the relevant Market Segment.
- Identify and quantify growth objectives for target customers and create a strategy to capture this business against milestones in the plan.
- Prospect for new customers while growing and maintaining the existing portfolio and confidentially negotiate contract details with commercial resources in a reasonable timeframe.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, science or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in industrial gases or a market-sector related industry in an engineering or business development role (highly desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of customer needs and technical expertise within a market sector; strong negotiation skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication, strong business/commercial acumen with pricing and contract management skills.
- Understanding of price management (gross margin, mark-up, pricing and profit) is a plus; experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
