The Role: People & Safety Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to lead EPIC's People & Safety function at a strategic level. Reporting to the CEO, the People & Safety Manager will oversee the full suite of Human Resources, Work Health & Safety, and Training functions, ensuring our practices are compliant, empowering, and future-focused.
Located at our headquarters in beautiful Karratha, WA – you may come for a year, but you'll want to stay forever
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Lead and manage HR, WHS, and Training across the organisation.
* Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on all people-related matters.
* Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice and compliance.
* Drive the implementation and optimisation of our HRIS system.
* Maintain and improve WHS systems, risk management, and injury reporting.
* Lead complex employee matters including investigations and performance management.
* Develop HR metrics and provide workforce data insights to the leadership team.
* Mentor and support a small internal team of HR and WHS professionals.
* Champion initiatives that promote wellbeing, engagement, and cultural safety.
* Collaborate with external experts to ensure quality and compliance.
* Deliver key organisational development projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
You're a values-driven leader with a passion for people and organisational development. You bring strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a collaborative mindset.
You'll have:
* A tertiary qualification in HR, IR, WHS, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior HR role, ideally with oversight of WHS and Training functions.
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and Modern Awards (SCHADS desirable).
* Experience implementing HR systems and driving organisational development projects.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* (Desirable) Experience in community services or disability sector; WHS certification.
