ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated laboratory technician to join a small team of researchers within EDX Medical Ltd.
The candidate will be involved in a project for the development of multiplex and quantitative LFD.
The role is fast paced, which requires an agile, solutions-oriented and approachable mindset.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing biotech in which your contribution will impact the development and delivery of a platform technology for multiplexing lateral flow devices for diagnostics with digital capability.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The candidate will work in a collaborative matrix structure.
Perform laboratory work related to capture deposition using state of the art automated liquid dispensing system.
Execute day-to-day experiments needed to drive the project forward.
Keep excellent records of all experiments.
Analyse data and communicate the results at a group- and company-wide level.
Adhere to guidelines that ensure good laboratory practice.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Strong collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Work alongside team members and undertake work in compliance with company processes, standards, and procedures
Organizing and storing all chemical substances
Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
Generate and curate QC data related to automated liquid dispensing system
Good conceptual, analytical thinking, problem solving, and organisational skills
Ability to be self-motivated and work within a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and be able to change delivery priorities to align with the business demands
Excellent communication & interpersonal skill
Experience & Knowledge
Undergraduate degree in a molecular biology/biotechnology-based field
Basic understanding of nucleic acid structure, and antibody function
Some data analysis/stats skills
Eager to learn and explore new science
Ability to work in a fast paced and agile environment, and to meet deadlines
Available for an immediate start
Experience working with Lateral Flow device
Experience working with nanoparticles (e.g., Gold Nanoparticles)
Data processing and statistical analysis (e.g., GraphPad)
