**The gig**
You'll flaunt your H2-KNOW-how by providing a hands-on service and extraordinary instruction to help deliver awesome swimming lessons in an enjoyable and safe environment. You'll bring your personality and winning smile to the role to create an environment of community and trust where customers love to come to swim.
You'll show interest, enthusiasm, patience, respect and innovation to students and peers while you construct, implement and deliver class plans that promote fun, group learning and water safety.
The role involves:
- Active listening, be objective and non-judgemental
- Use respectful, positive language
- Exhibit concern and interest for the feelings and experience of others
- Structure and design classes with appropriate activities that enhance student interaction and collaboration while maintaining safety
- Actively work within a team environment to ensure safe, timely and effective set up/ class delivery and pack up
- Ensure appropriate attendance and competency records are completed, collated and submitted of archiving
- Comply with all legislative and organisational requirements

**The need-to-haves**
- Swim Teacher certification
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills coupled with a welcoming, friendly and approachable manner
**The good-to-haves**
- Experience in a similar position
- Current certification for First Aid and CPR or willingness to get one
- Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, a National Police Check and positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
