About the opportunity
In this high‐impact leadership role, you will report to the Wilson Homes CEO and collaborate with the senior leadership team. You will lead our pre‐construction teams (Drafting, Project Delivery, Estimating and Administration) and support the delivery of the strategic plan relating to productivity, performance and financial targets while driving exceptional customer experience, industry‐leading timeframes and client advocacy. Specific responsibilities include:
* Effectively manage pre‐construction workflow and lead teams to achieve productivity targets
* Produce data and insights for the CEO to inform decisions on development and implementation of the budget, quarterly targets, and strategic business plans
* Report to the CEO monthly on individual performance, KPI's and agreed pre‐construction timeframesEnsure the pre‐construction teams reforecast jobs monthly for accurate financial reporting
* Manage the employee lifecycle for all team members to ensure engagement and alignment to individual, team and business goals
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives (systems and process) aligned with operational excellence and foster an environment of innovation
* Lead, coach and develop teams to build capability and succession pipelines
About you
Whilst building knowledge is not essential you must demonstrate exceptional capability in workflow management, continuous improvement and cross‐functional collaboration. You should share a passion for our purpose and be aligned with our core values: better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will bring:
* Proven experience in an operational excellence leadership role
* Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and change
* Experience leading high‐performing multidisciplinary teams
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* Confidence in aligning individuals and teams to goals and uplifting capability through mentoring and coaching
* Knowledge of the Tasmanian Planning Scheme, local council requirements and relevant developer guidelines is desirable, and willingness to develop relationships with local government and council representatives
