We are seeking multiple Financial Advisory Consultants to provide professional and advisory services to projects within government agencies as well as CFOs and senior finance leaders to undertake business partnering, project/financial accounting, team management, prepare budgets and forecasts, advise on capital investment decisions and analyse financial sustainability.

Due to the nature of Synergy Groups work you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and hold an AGSVA security clearance to apply.
Duties And Responsibilities
Working directly with clients, a Financial Management Consultant will have demonstrated experience in the following:
* Team management and leadership of engagements
* Knowledge of Commonwealth budget development, financial forecasting and monthly reporting
* Financial reporting for Commonwealth entities
* Business partnering within client organisations to improve financial processes and acumen
* External budgeting
* Activity Based Costing and/ or cost recovery
* Business Case development
* Writing reports, briefs, and proposals
* Experience in directly reporting to and providing strategic support to the Chief Finance Officer
* Must be a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) or Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia.
Relationships
* Working to the Engagement Lead and/or Partner
* Develop strong and strategic relationships with clients, other members of the team and other service lines
* Sustain and enhance personal networks with clients and industry peers
* Ability to develop good working relationships with other line areas within the relevant clients organisation
Knowledge
You will bring to the role, a strong background in finance including:
* Having completed either CPA or CA with experience in financial management.
* Sound written and oral communication skills, including ability to manage client communications in a professional and credible manner.
* Strong analytical skills including ability to research and analyse complex problems.
* Demonstrated experience of working with a high degree of autonomy and to high standards of quality.
* Ability to manage scope and timeline of assignments whilst delivering value adding insights.
* Experience in managing client engagements and developing strong relationships.
* Experience with Technology One is highly desirable but not mandatory.
