Your role

As a Youth Justice Caseworker you will provide front‐line services to young people at the Grafton Youth Justice Community Office. Responsibilities include delivering high‐quality, externally and internally sourced services to detainees, youth justice conferencing clients, victims of crime and court‐mandated young people and their families. You will work within a multi‐disciplined team to reduce re‐offending, enhance young people's functioning and support reintegration into family and community.

What You'll Do
* Undertake case‐management activities that target risk‐ and need‐areas, including case planning, organising and facilitating conferences, and delivering offence‐focused intervention programmes.
* Collaborate with Youth Justice staff and a range of government and non‐government stakeholders to connect young people to appropriate services and monitor progress.
* Work closely with courts, parole authorities, review panels and legal professionals, providing clear written communication such as briefings and reports.
* Use structured screening and assessment tools to identify risks and needs, determining intervention levels, including family and crisis interventions.
* Monitor outcome and case plans for compliance and progress, taking appropriate action when required.
* Maintain accurate records and data integrity in relevant information systems to support effective case management and quality assurance.
* Provide young people and families with tools, information and support to create positive change and contribute productively to community.
* Contribute to the therapeutic nature of services, manage behaviour, and engage in reflective practice with staff.
* Adapt to changes and comply with Departmental policies, procedures, and best‐practice guidelines.
What We're Looking For
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence.

To apply: attach an up‐to‐date résumé (maximum five pages) and a cover letter (maximum two pages) outlining how you meet the role's focus capabilities and answer two targeted questions:

* Describe a situation where you worked collaboratively, influenced and negotiated with inter‐agency partners or stakeholders. What was your role and the outcome?
