Muswellbrook Hospital is a key regional facility in the Upper Hunter providing high-quality healthcare to our community. We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Hospital Assistant Grade 3 to join our Facilities and Maintenance team. In this role, you will support the Engineering Department by assisting with routine and statutory maintenance, undertaking manual handling tasks such as moving furniture and equipment, maintaining gardens and grounds, and helping ensure buildings, plant and equipment remain safe and operational.
You will also support trades staff, respond flexibly to urgent maintenance needs, and contribute to a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Practical, reliable and willing to learn.
Enjoys hands-on work and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a supportive team.
Willingness to learn basic gardening and handyman skills.
Helpful and proactive attitude with flexibility to assist in the workshop.
Ability to work independently while following direction.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Previous gardening or handyman experience is valued but not essential – training will be provided.
