Role purpose
The Staff Specialist will provide high quality clinical management and consultative specialty services in Dermatology outpatients department and within the Dermatology on call roster, and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Dermatology Department and Hospital as required. The successful applicant will support an academic environment that promotes education, research and professional development and will be involved in medical student teaching (clinical and tutorial) as well as supervision and teaching of Dermatology registrars and junior medical staff.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality clinical management and consultative Dermatology services in outpatients and on-call contexts.
* Contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Dermatology Department and Hospital.
* Ensure a high standard of professional performance and support an educational environment that promotes education, research and professional development.
* Provide medical student teaching (clinical and tutorial) and supervise/teach Dermatology registrars and junior medical staff.
Qualifications and eligibility
* Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
* Position available in April 2026. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application may be considered.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
