Job Title: Leading Commercial and Technology Expert

We seek an experienced leader to drive innovation while safeguarding our interests. The successful candidate will lead negotiations and drafting of ICT and commercial arrangements, provide advice on data, privacy, and cybersecurity risks, and support initiatives in teaching, research, and community engagement.
The role involves improving templates, streamlining processes, briefing or managing external advisers when required, and ensuring timely advice that balances legal and governance requirements.
This full-time, five-year fixed-term appointment is based at our Parramatta South campus, with travel to other campuses as needed.
To be considered, you must have admission to practice in Australia, substantial post-admission experience in technology and commercial law, deep expertise negotiating ICT agreements, a strong command of privacy and data protection, and proven ability to balance competing priorities.
You should also have a track record of improving templates, playbooks, and contracting processes, confident supplier engagement and dispute resolution skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a collegial leadership style.
