Ventia is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Telecommunications/Wamarra team within the Critical Infrastructure division, based at North Plymton and Cavan office. About the Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering detailed electrical designs and supporting project execution.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Developing electrical detailed designs for telecommunications infrastructure
* Producing cost estimates for materials and labour
* Updating databases and producing accurate as-built drawings
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong technical background and a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will bring:
* Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer or Designer
* Technical fluency in Low Voltage and DC power systems
* Proficiency in preparing bills of quantities and interpreting CAD drawings
* Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel for cost estimation
* Familiarity with MS Access, Power Automation, and Power Apps (desirable)
* Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
* Understanding of ISO9001, OH&S legislation, and environmental licensing
* Experience designing solar and battery systems for commercial applications
* Knowledge of solar industry regulations and standards
* Basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems
