Role: Mobile QA / Test Engineer (Android & iOS)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Test Engineer to join our QA team and ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our Android and iOS applications.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to test new features, identify bugs, and drive best-quality practices across mobile platforms.
* Plan, design, and execute test cases for Android and iOS applications
* Perform manual testing: functional, regression, sanity, UI/UX, accessibility
* Test critical flows including authentication, API calls, payments, push notifications, deep links
* Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
* Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and debug mobile issues
* Execute install/update/uninstall, network, and background/foreground testing
* Validate builds delivered via TestFlight (iOS) and Internal App Sharing (Android)
* Contribute to automation using Appium/XCTest (optional but preferred)
* Provide test coverage reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments
* Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, grooming, daily standup, retro
Mandatory Skills
* 2–6 years experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS)
* Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, UI components, and platform behavior
* Proficiency in:
* Experience with test case writing, execution & regression planning
* Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, Azure DevOps)
* Good knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile methodologies
* Ability to identify UI/UX issues and provide clear feedback
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good to Have
* Basic experience in Appium (Android/iOS)
* Knowledge of XCTest/XCUITest (iOS automation)
* API testing with Postman
* Experience testing:
* Payments (UPI/cards)
* OTT/streaming apps
* Understanding of network debugging tools: Charles Proxy, Android Profiler, Network Link Conditioned
