Based at the Brisbane site and reporting to the Sales Manager (Metal – East), the Account Manager - Metal is primarily responsible for sales and technical service support for all allocated customers in the assigned territory. The Account Manager - Metal position also plays a key role in the planning and implementation of both the regional and customer-specific sales and marketing plans to achieve increased sales, revenue growth, and profile of the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain optimum liaison with customers in each allocated territory.
2. Liaise with technical staff of customers to monitor any changes in attitude or requirements.
3. Lead and mentor technical team members.
4. Develop key customer contacts in order to promote new opportunities for growth.
5. Work closely with customers to continually improve and add value to their business, while recognizing the implications of our actions on profitability.
6. Provide technical advice and support to customers in relation to product range.
7. Ensure that company products are performing to the satisfaction of customers.
8. Conduct product testing on a regular basis, including installation, component, pull, and tension tests.
9. Create business plans and budgets for allocated customers.
10. Identify areas of potential growth and ensure adequate supply to meet demand.
11. Recognize and encourage new product development opportunities, ensuring customers are aware of the full product range.
