An exciting opportunity is available for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join Mangan Ey & Associates a dynamic and professional legal team based in Adelaide. This full-time role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and reports directly to the Managing Partners. Providing high-level administrative support, accurate document preparation and responsive client service, the Legal Administrative Assistant will contribute to the team's reputation for excellence, discretion and professionalism.
This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, initiative and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Key responsibilities include managing diaries, coordinating travel, processing expenses and supporting the preparation, editing and proofreading of legal documents such as contracts and briefs. The role also involves maintaining physical and digital records, assisting with court filings, managing client enquiries with care and professionalism and internal databases. Responsibilities also extends to bookkeeping duties including overseeing billing processes, time entry, account entry and ledgers.
To succeed in this position, candidates will bring at least two years' experience in a legal administrative, legal secretary, or executive assistant capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Xero and legal practice management systems is essential, as is a sound understanding of legal terminology and court processes. Strong communication skills, high levels of discretion, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also critical.
