Our Fairfield location is currently undergoing a major redevelopment to become one of the largest UTE accessory build centres in Sydney. With a strong presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and active expansion into other states, this is an exciting time to join our growing national team.

Role Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering both internal product designs as well as customer's custom builds, ensuring that all production standards are met. You will work closely with management and our workshop team to deliver an exceptional experience from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Use SolidWorks for stress test simulations to test the strength of structures and materials before production.

Conduct consultations with clients to determine requirements for custom designs.

Produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.

Manage project progress to ensure adherence to schedules and production targets.

Assemble and test prototypes to validate designs for mass production.

Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, metal, and plastic.

Collaborate with workshop technicians to ensure high-quality and timely job completion.

Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to help inform sales and design strategies.

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks, specifically in modeling and the management of large, complex assemblies.

Bachelor degree or above in a relevant mechanical or industrial design field.

At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Designer.

A hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environment.

Strong communication skills with a professional and positive attitude.

Knowledge of 4x4 makes, models, and off-road accessories is highly desirable.
